EarthCraft’s partner in Virginia has undergone some exciting new program changes including a name change and an increased focus on different aspects of sustainability while maintaining its commitment to the EarthCraft program.

EarthCraft Virginia is transforming to serve an even broader audience by expanding efforts in education, consultation and certification. They will continue to serve hundreds of professionals and thousands of homeowners with the EarthCraft family of programs. And now as Viridiant – by focusing on our three Pillars of Sustainability (Environmental, Economic, and Structural sustainability) – they will be able to do even more to demonstrate how the latest building science can set a path for businesses and homeowners to create structures that are more affordable, more livable and more durable.

EarthCraft Virginia was conceptualized in 2004 and has grown from single family certification to partner with the Virginia Housing Development Authority and Habitat for Humanity to introduce sustainable development to low income affordable housing. This year Viridiant is growing from focusing on EarthCraft to include other key components of sustainability by advancing programs in education, creating new events, and continuing high quality consultation.
